There is an excellent modern playgound just a few yards down the lane. Adjacent to this are two tennis courts which can be booked by the hour. Parents who have their own racquets can play and keep an eye on the children at the same time! This is located on the Village playing field which is great for a kick about , flying kites, or cricket.

CRABBING at Blakeney Quay. For bird conservation reasons no hooks are allowed. In the understairs cupboard you will find two 'Billie nets'. In the decorative crabbing bucket in the downstairs bathroom you will find some plastic crabbing buckets. Very easy to catch lots of young crabs, and children love it! Go to Guerneys fish shop and beg a fish head for each net. Tie it in the bottom of the net with a stone to weight it. Drop to the sand bottom off the quay- wait a while and start popping them onto your bucket. Let them all go at once down the slip. LEAVE THE FISH HEAD BEHIND WHEN YOU LEAVE PHEW!!
