We have stayed at shingle cottage several times now and love the cottage, its location in Burnham and the surrounding area.
We were curious why Burnham is such a talked about place but on our first stay we were sold. A fantastic jumping off point for the many amazing beaches of the area as well as the creaks of Burnham overy Staithe and Brancaster Staithe that keeps our kids entertained for hours. There are a plethora of great eating and drinking places and some great foodie shops and clothes shops in the village. Of course the Hoste is always a good night out!
A 2 minute walk from the bakery, our daily 8am visit is always a hilight.
In short for us as a family with 2 young kids this is a superb house and location and we would heartily recommend to anyone thinking of staying!!!
We've loved the cottage- feels really light and bright and was very well equipped - everything thought of. Thanks for having us!”

We stayed at Shingle Cottage May 2010 on a 4 night break. We were told that we were the first guests in the newly refurbished cottage. It was clean and comfortable and there were lots of nice little touches, like maps to browse and a decent bottle of marlborough wine! There is a seaside flavour to the decor and we loved Burham Market. Great food shopping and The Hoste is a great asset to the village. Great coastline and a lovely walk throught the fields out the back of the cottages. We'll return shortly!
